The City Nature Challenge Plymouth area straddles the boarder between Devon and Cornwall in the UK. The city and surroundings are home to some incredible wildlife and habitats, being found between Dartmoor National Park and Plymouth Sound National Marine Park.
City Nature Challenge is a worldwide movement to document nature and help fight biodiversity loss. You can get involved in this opportunity to showcase the biodiversity of the area of Plymouth and surrounds to the rest of the world by collecting records of any living things you encounter during the four day event.
All you need to do is take your phone or camera outside between 24th and 27th April and record any species you encounter using iNaturalist app or website.
April 28 – May 10 you can continue to log on and upload you sightings as well as help identify the sightings of other participants.
The City Nature Challenge Plymouth is being coordinated locally by Plymouth Sound National Marine Park.
