Our planet is getting hotter. Plymouth recorded its highest ever temperature in August 2022. In Europe, we’ve experienced the greatest drought for 500 years impacting the bare essentials of life—food, water and energy supplies. But we still have time to do something about it if we act now…

Over 99% of the world’s scientists agree that climate change is manmade. And yet, a future where we tackle it promises to be healthier, with clean air and better lifestyles, more prosperous, with stronger local economies and communities and greener, with more trees, cleaner seas and natural habitat.

We now have a choice. We can choose to ignore climate change. Or we can choose to do something about it.

In Plymouth, we are over 264,000 residents, over 6,000 businesses including more than 150 social enterprises and many community groups and charities.

We can’t solve climate change on our own, but together we can make a huge difference. Together we can build a Plymouth that is greener, healthier, more prosperous and resilient.
