Climate Mingle

Join us for our final Climate Mingle of 2025!

We’ll be gathering at the brilliant community space Jabulani to explore how architecture, creativity and community spirit can come together to tackle climate challenges.

We’re excited to welcome Studio Skein, an employee-owned architects’ co-op who’ll be sharing the story behind their circular design project with Jabulani, where they flipped the usual process on its head and started with the materials they had, not the ones they wished for. Expect insights into how they work collaboratively with Jabulani, reused waste in clever ways and what’s next for scaling this kind of work.

We’ll also hear from Jabo, the driving force behind Jabulani, about the next phase of the project – Jabulani 2.0. While we won’t be doing a full tour (thanks, November weather!), there’ll be plans, visuals and a materials wish list to explore, plus a big ideas board where you can share what you’d love to see in Plymouth’s climate future.

And of course, we couldn’t visit Jabulani without asking them to serve up some beautiful African cuisine to keep us fuelled while we chat, connect and get inspired.

• On foot – Ten minute walk from Royal Parade. Head west along Union Street, the Plot is opposite the C103 building. The entrance at the rear of the building will also be accessible.
• By bus – Union Street is served by several bus routes. Please refer to Traveline to help you plan your journey.
• By bike – There are are Beryl bike stops at Stonehouse Bridge and the Octagon. There are spaces to park your bike to the rear of the Plot.
• By car – Limited on-street parking is available on Union Street and nearby side roads. There is limited parking spaces to the rear of The Plot.
