Art and Energy team with the Mossy Carpet Artwork in a field

About Event

Calling all artists, creatives, performers, producers, and cultural organisations working in Plymouth!

This autumn, Art and Energy are partnering with Plymouth Culture to host eight creative conversations about ways that the creative and cultural sector can respond to the Climate Emergency. We’ll be sharing ideas and barriers, celebrating existing projects, and dreaming up exciting new ideas.

We’re working with a number of cultural organisations across the city to host the 8 sessions. Artists, creatives, performers, producers, and cultural organisations are invited to sign up for one of these workshops.

This is just the start of a three-year collaboration between Art and Energy and Plymouth Culture, during this first stage we hope to develop a menu of actions and ideas, stimulating and supporting creative action across the city.

This is just the start of a three-year collaboration between Art and Energy and Plymouth Culture, during this first stage we hope to develop a menu of actions and ideas, stimulating and supporting creative action across the city. We're excited by the amazing role that creativity and culture have to inspire a response to the Climate Emergency. We'll be exploring ways of starting and holding space for conversations about our climate and ecological responses with audiences/groups/communities. Join us as we share what we're already doing, explore possibilities, find ways to support one another, and dream for a Brighter Greener Future!

What will we be doing?

Whilst the format for each session will be similar, we look forward to the outcomes varying depending on venue and participants. Join in with ‘The Mossy Carpet’ and share experience of decarbonisation, eco-anxiety, and ways that we can use our creativity towards a net-zero, environmentally-rich Plymouth.
