The Net Zero and Climate Change workshop will explore the concept of net zero and its significance in combating climate change. Beginning with an overview of greenhouse gas emissions and their impact, we'll delve into strategies for achieving net-zero carbon emissions, considering sectors like energy, transport, buildings and agriculture, where most emissions come from.
Through case studies, interactive activities and quizzes, learners will gain insights into how to reduce their carbon footprint, introducing the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
The workshop also introduces the carbon handprint concept, a positive forward-looking action that can be taken. By the end of the workshop, participants will understand the importance of transitioning to a net-zero economy and the role both individuals and organisations play in driving this transformation for a sustainable future.
