Repair, make and Mend Community Event

Do you hate to throw things away, like to help make a difference, share your knowledge and skills, to reduce the waste and build a stronger compassionate network of support. Help Plymouth to reduce the amount of ‘stuff’ that ends up in landfill.

Do you like to mend things, tinker and reuse broken items, or wish to learn more about mending from others, part of a group or organisation curious about what you can do to help?

Come along find out more, share ideas, solutions and help each other.

Timebank SW, Plymouth Scrapstore, Unitarian Church Green Team and Borrow Don’t Buy are keen to help people of Plymouth connect, share and encourage each other at this friendly welcoming event.
Featuring –
Live fixing and mending, sewing, electrical and jewellery fixes .
Help thinking about setting up a community repairing session.
Sharing the little things which help – websites, scrap collection, charity shops, re-purposing and re-using links .

2 – 2.30pm welcome and showcase of fixing in action, share and promote your repair session
2.30 – 4.30 learning and sharing, gather around themes of interest to you (more details to come)
4.45 – 5pm close
Twilight session 5 – 6pm welcome folk who have commitments in the daytime and were unable to join in the afternoon. A summary of event and sharing contacts will be available.
