About Event

Join Moor Trees at the very start of a wonderful two-year cycle which ends with planting new native broadleaved woodlands on Dartmoor.

You will spend the day walking through ancient semi-natural woodland and along hedgerows collecting native broadleaved tree seeds, which in the coming weeks Moor Trees will process and get them ready to grow into the trees of the future.

The day starts at 11am and you’ll take a walk through the woods collecting different tree seed you find along the way.

Meet in the Shaugh Bridge car park.

The site has some steep paths, so please bring waterproofs and suitable footwear for the terrain.

Refreshments of cake, biscuits and squash will be provided, as well as all of the equipment required to undertake the task in hand on the day.

Please bring with you the following: water, weather-appropriate clothing, snacks, lunch, and sturdy footwear.
