Calling all makers, tinkerers, inventors – this is the event for you!
Join Flax Project CIC + Precious Plastics CIC + SKATEtotheMAX CIC for a collaborative experimental STEAM workshop
- Ride the recycling bike and injection mould a new product from your waste plastic
- Experiment with different materials from the flax plant – straw, fibre, oil, yarn +cloth
- Learn how a skateboard is made and upcycle your skateboard
- Combine materials and test their properties

Is there an age restriction?
Young people aged 12–18 (Under 16 require parental consent)
Parking
There is some free parking available in the streets around the Plot. Eg. Manor Street PL1 1TW , which is free between 11am and 3pm. And there is short stay-on street parking on Octagon St, PL11TU. There is also 90 mins free parking in Aldi, across the road from The Plot, enough to drop off someone.
Accessibility
The Plot is a ground floor premises with level access from the front and the back. There is a disabled access toilet as well as multiple other toilets.
Refreshments
There is a new café on site, the wonderful African Queen, serving food and drinks.

Public transport
The No 21 bus runs along Union Street and stops outside the Plot. The train station is approx. a 20 minute walk to the Plot.
