About Event

Join the Young Climate Ambassadors for a hands‑on, nature‑based workshop at Poole Farm, delivered in partnership with the Youth Hub and The Community Tree Nursery 🌳🌱

This interactive session will give young people the chance to explore how trees are grown from seed and why they are such a vital part of tackling climate change locally. Participants will enjoy a guided tour of the community tree nursery, learning how tree seeds are collected, cared for and grown to support the Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest.

Young people will then take part in a practical seed‑sowing activity, planting a tree seed that could one day be planted in and around Plymouth, leaving a living legacy for the city’s future 🌲✨

This workshop is ideal for young people who enjoy hands‑on learning, being outdoors and discovering how nature‑based solutions support climate action. No previous experience is needed – just curiosity and a willingness to get involved!

📅 Tuesday 19 May
4pm to 6pm
📍 Poole Farm, Leigham, Plymouth (PL6 8NF)

Please note this is an outdoor session, so participants should wear sturdy footwear and bring a weather‑appropriate jacket 🥾🧥

As always, this session is free for Young Climate Ambassadors, but booking is essential due to limited spaces. If you haven’t already signed up to the programme and would like to attend, please register as soon as possible so we can reserve your place 🎫🙌

Supported by Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest’s youth forum, Forest Rising, and the Youth Participation Team 🌿
