Join us for the next exciting instalment of the Young Climate Ambassador Scheme with a special workshop at Poole Farm, one of Plymouth’s most inspiring green spaces.
This session includes a guided Beaver Tour, offering a rare chance to learn about the incredible role beavers play in restoring ecosystems, improving biodiversity, and supporting climate resilience. Led by our Poole Farm team, the tour will take you through the rewilded landscape where beavers have been reintroduced, a living example of nature-based solutions in action!
Young participants will:
🌿 Discover how beavers help combat climate change
🌊 Explore the farm’s habitats and wildlife
🗣️ Connect with other young people passionate about the environment
🌱 Learn how to take action as part of Plymouth’s growing climate movement
This free workshop is open to all young people interested in nature, climate action, and making a difference in their community.
Please bring your curiosity, ideas, and passion for the planet.
Open to ages 11-18, this exciting opportunity offers young people the chance to meet inspiring changemakers, build new skills and take real action on climate issues.
The group meets monthly to discuss climate-related topics, collaborate on creative projects, and engage with local organisations such as the National Marine Aquarium, Poole Farm and The Box.
Activities have included tree planting, upcycling workshops, and behind-the-scenes experiences at local environmental institutions.
