Job: Environmental Communications 

Are you passionate about tackling climate change and want to make a difference?

Plymouth City Council is looking for a natural and creative communicator with a good grasp of digital and social channels, ready to get stuck in on building awareness, engagement and commitment to taking positive climate action in Plymouth.

You’ll be working in the City and Net Zero Planning team and be instrumental in supporting the city’s mission to get to net zero. This role is flexible with both office and home working. Proximity to Plymouth is essential.

Candidate profile

• A graduate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in communications and engagement
• A good understanding of climate change, the main challenges, issues and campaigns to stimulate action and behavioural change
• A strong creative communicator face to face, in writing and digitally literate
• Experience of working collaboratively with creative agencies an advantage
• Confidence with web platforms and tools such as WordPress and Canva desired
