The Devon Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Climate Adaptation Strategy is open for consultation. Take a look and have your say!
Climate change will impact Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Critical infrastructure, community assets like schools and hospitals, homes, the environment, businesses and public services are all sensitive to weather and climate.
What is the Climate Adaptation Strategy?
It is a regional plan which is designed to help us, our communities and organisations across the Southwest to better understand the risks we face in the future from the impacts of climate change. It also sets out how we can manage these risks and adapt our critical infrastructure and community assets and services to be more resilient by planning ahead.
Taking a proactive approach to adapt to climate change will result in many benefits, creating a fairer, healthier, more resilient and prosperous society.
Why give your feedback on the Strategy?
- This document will influence the actions of big drivers for change—it is important that everyone has their say
- Hearing from communities that will be directly affected by climate issues will help to make the Strategy as beneficial as possible
- Helping to improve this Strategy is the first step to make our communities climate-resilient and preserve local landscapes and wildlife for generations to come
Have your say for a #ClimateResilientDCIoS and shape the region’s future by reading the Strategy, then filling out the questionnaire.
