New Year, New Rides

At Plymouth Bike Hire, we’ve been running guided rides on our hire bikes for years. From 2025, we’ve stepped it up with group rides on ICE electric recumbent trikes, tandems, bikes, and e-bikes — with a big focus on making cycling accessible and enjoyable for everyone. So let’s kick start 2026.

ICE recumbent trikes are all about comfort and confidence. Designed by Inspired Cycle Engineering, they feature a laid-back seat that supports your back, takes pressure off joints, and feels instantly reassuring. With three wheels and electric assist, they’re super stable and easy to ride — perfect for relaxed outings, traffic-free trails, or longer adventures without the effort.

Our ICE Adventure HD Trikes

The Adventure HD is ideal for easy, accessible cycling. The higher seat makes getting on and off simple, full suspension smooths out rough surfaces, and the low centre of gravity keeps everything stable and controlled.

Automatic gearing and adjustable electric power mean you can just enjoy the ride — no fiddling with gears. They’re great for anyone who can’t (or doesn’t want to) ride a standard bike, and most people feel comfortable within minutes. Controls can also be set up left- or right-handed if needed.

Suitable for riders approx. 5ft–6ft 6in, up to 150kg.

Booking and Group Rides

Booking is easy — just head to the Plymouth Bike Hire website, choose “Accessible” and select your date or you can call, email, or WhatsApp us.

We also run led group rides by arrangement and occasionally through British Cycling’s Let’s Ride programme — a great way to discover new routes, meet people, and build confidence in a friendly setting.
