Description

Connect Plymouth is a partnership project to help change the way people move around Plymouth by providing three new sustainable travel options that will improve access across the city and help us reach carbon neutrality.

500 electric bikes (e-bikes) will soon be available for hire across 90 locations around Plymouth. These bikes are perfect for leisurely bike rides, commuting or tackling the hills of Plymouth. Choosing to ride an e-bike can help to keep you active, improve your health and wellbeing and provide a low impact travel option for travelling in and around the city.

We are also continuing to add more electric vehicle charge points across the city for public use as well as an electric car club share scheme. This will create opportunities for people to access a vehicle without the burden and cost of ownership. Switching to electric travel and lowering car usage helps to clean our air and reduce the congestion on roads.

These new options will be integrated with existing public travel including buses, trains, ferries, walking and cycling routes which will allow more affordable travel options that are greener and better for our city.

By changing the way we travel and switching to electric travel options, we can help clean our air and reduce the congestion on roads. This helps to protect our green spaces and do our bit for the place we live in. Let’s connect people, connect places and connect Plymouth.
