Description
Future Plymouth 2030 is an initiative which was set up in 2020 to highlight the opportunities to reduce carbon in Construction and the Built Environment by providing free educational webinars, talks, visits and workshops to report, discuss, debate and demystify different ways that this can and should happen.
The initiative started just as the Covid pandemic hit the UK and therefore the first two years/seasons of events were provided as regular online webinars focussing on a different topic each time with three speakers from different backgrounds talking about a common topic from each of their perspectives and a generous Q+A time for the listeners at the end of the presentations. 30 webinars happened in the first two years with 100 speakers kindly sharing their knowledge/experience to help inspire and empower others to make changes and do things differently to make positive moves towards reducing carbon.
We all use buildings and have a ‘sphere of influence’ to help change to happen.
We can all assist with improving the situation regarding carbon emissions. All of the previous webinars were recorded and are available on our Youtube channel linked to our website by following the ‘Watch Again’ link.
The initiative continues this year with less webinars and more in person events and activities. Please follow us on social media or sign up to our mailing list on the website to be kept up to date with planned events.
The committee is also providing a more useful advisory service to the Plymouth Net Zero Partnership now too.
