Description
Growing with Nature is a partnership project responding to popular demand by providing opportunities to connect community growers and gardeners that want to make their spaces more colourful, wildlife friendly and fruitful by working together to save money and growing a wide range of plants and trees.
We are helping to make space for wildlife and creating food to enjoy and share by celebrating seasonal abundance and sowing the seeds for the next harvest.
Starting out in gardening on your own can be hard but we are working together to share seeds, plants, tips and produce to be more fruitful.
Through events, networking and sharing our skills and knowledge, we support new growers, connecting you with opportunities for growing with inspiration and skill sharing. Together we grow wonderful plants and trees, benefitting nature and the people involved and providing healthy, nutritious food.
We are dealing with the nature and climate emergency and lowering our individual and collective carbon footprints through:
- local food production
- promoting wildlife friendly practices and cutting down ‘food miles’ (transport which causes pollution)
- exchanging rather than buying plants that have often travelled long distances and been grown in unsustainable peat and plastic pots.
