Description
Ever wanted to drive an electric vehicle, without the costs involved of owning one? Or, do you need to charge your own electric vehicle as quickly as possible? Or, do you want to get around Plymouth on an electric bike, without struggling with the hills?
Connect Plymouth, the city’s new sustainable transport initiative, launched on 21 March 2023 and aims to change the way people move around the city.
There are three new components which will increase sustainable travel options and improve access across Plymouth.
When fully operational, Plymouth will have a fleet of 500 electric bikes available for hire , 300 publicly accessible electric vehicle charging points and an electric car club.
Co-funded through the Transforming Cities Fund these components are integrated within existing public travel including buses, trains, ferries, walking and cycling routes. Connect Plymouth provides more, affordable and greener travel options for our city.
