We are Protective Wear Supplies Ltd (PWS), a Plymouth based, leading PPE, safety wear and workwear supplier with customers across the UK. A family business with 50 years’ expertise, we supply a number of key frameworks in the Utilities and Housing sectors who trust us to deliver a fast, cost effective and reliable service.

We are a thriving, forward looking company, and pride ourselves on delivering excellent and efficient customer service through an innovative integrated ordering process to deliver market leading value on quality, compliant PPE, safety wear and workwear.

About our climate journey

We are at the early stages of our climate journey and are focused on understanding our current carbon footprint. We’re gathering data on our emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 – covering energy use, freight, logistics and waste – to create a baseline for measuring and reducing our impact.

A key challenge has been collecting accurate data, especially from our supply chain, but this process has already improved how we work. It has encouraged stronger collaboration within our team, given us greater visibility of our operations, and sparked positive conversations with suppliers and customers about sustainability.

Our next step is to set reduction targets and put practical measures in place, such as improving energy efficiency, exploring greener logistics, and reducing waste. Our long-term aim is to make sustainability a natural part of everyday decision-making.
