St Saviours CIC
Organisation Bio
Initially supported by The Lenkiewicz Foundation and Fotonow CIC, the organisation was established in 2015 to help steward St Saviours Hall building back to full health. The organisation has managed ac-hoc bookings and the pathway towards a longer term lease and has been supported by the Architectural Heritage Fund which has financed design work by Studio Skein and a recent community consultation report. Into the future we aim for St Saviours Hall to offer a sustainable hub for creative, community and cultural activities to take place while retaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

What we provide
St Saviours CIC is a social enterprise managing the historic hall on the Barbican as a community hub available to diverse communities and audiences. The organisation is working with Studio Skein to redevelop the hall with a view to explore retrofitting the building to ensure a sustainable future for the building. The hall is a large, humble and well loved space that can be booked for one off events, workshops and exhibitions.
About our climate journey
St Saviours is working with Studio Skein in Plymouth to explore a full retrofit of the building to offer a sustainable hub for community and cultural projects here on the Barbican. We are committed to running the hall in a low impact way and design work will feature means to see the building minimise its emissions and environmental impact. We plan to ensure the hall supports local activities and environmental learning too.
