Organisation Bio

Tamar Grow Local is a Community Interest Company founded on co-operative principles which was established in 2007. Over the last 17 years it has become an umbrella organisation that supports a family of land based community projects and enterprises which promote and improve access to local food and produce in the Tamar Valley

Tamar Grow Local core activities are focused around community, commercial and educational agendas, although these are frequently combined and self-supporting.

Providing weekly deliveries of local food to Plymouth and Tamar Valley through networking producers, growers and customers through an efficient online farmers market that is not-for-profit.

Co-ordinating growers and producers in Devon for a specialist agroecological produce for wholesale and cross-trading through The Good Food Loop.

Developing spaces for community growing and volunteering.

Creating a Farm Start to rent out land at low cost for new growers in the Tamar Valley.
