ZLC Energy design, supply and install renewable energy systems across the South West and beyond. We specialize in working with commercial and public sector organisations to assist in decarbonizing businesses. The technologies we install include Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV chargers, Heat Pumps, Wind Turbines and Solar Car Ports.

About our climate journey

As installers of renewable energy systems we aim to lead by example. Our offices are therefore powered by a large Solar PV system with batteries and our heating and hot water is provided by a Ground Source Heat Pump. We have electric vehicle charging point installed for our team members to use and our bought in electricity is supplied via a green energy provider.

Biggest climate achievement to date

We recently were awarded the B Corp status which is our personal biggest achievement to date.

Most difficult climate challenge faced

Our biggest challenge is finding a suitable solution to decarbonise our transport for installers. We have trailed electric vans but they do not offer the range we require for our day to day operation. We currently lift share as much as possible with crew vans and a company minibus to transport teams to site wherever possible.

Best climate advice or tip for others

If budget is tight the easiest thing to do would be to change utility provider to a green energy provider.
