This informal and practical event will bring together speakers from champion Plymouth businesses actively engaged in delivering projects around waste, buildings, energy, engagement, travel and offsetting.
The event will include the opportunity to work through the practicalities of setting Net Zero goals and priorities for your business, monitoring processes and delivery, as well as gaining insights and advice from local champions with direct knowledge and experience.
Speakers include:
▪ Tom Briars-Delve, Cabinet Member for Environment & Climate Change at Plymouth City Council will introduce the event.
▪ Anna Peachey of PCC's Inclusive Economy Team will speak on meeting Net Zero standards in procurement.
▪ Amanda Pennington FRSA will lead a case study on Wildanet's Net Zero journey, including community liaison, positive impacts, calculating carbon footprints and creating carbon reduction plans.
▪ Customer Sustainability Manager of Lyreco Group Chloe Eloise Andrews will focus on building a responsible and profitable business through sustainable supplier selection and embracing the circular economy.
▪ Graham Devine from LHC Design will speak on how design of the built environment can support a Net Zero future.
▪ Magma Moulding Limited Project Engineer Zoe Sharland will help us understand how to identify and calculate Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
▪ Martyn Ruskin, Supply Chain Manager of Babcock International Group, will focus on transformation, with a case study on sustainable work-place travel.
