St Budeaux Library have launched their newly renovated community garden!

Community garden area

The garden features cast aluminium 'St Budeaux Library' lettering, which was part of the original library building. Now restored, reimagined, and repurposed as a historical tribute, these letters are over 62 years old.

The aim of the garden is to enable library customers, organisations, and the local community to relax and engage with a green space. Whether you have your own garden, or not, this is a space for all to discover the joy of gardening.

In the garden you'll find carrots, beetroot, broccoli, onions, peppers, leeks, lettuce, potatoes, rhubarb, strawberries, and blueberries, and more!
There are multiple seating areas, table tennis (occasional use), and lots of blooming lovely plants & flowers to explore! Play with giant Connect Four, read a book in the sun, or simply chill out...
The garden development, and window wrap, were made possible after a successful bid with the North Yard Community Trust for a general grant, along with pockets of community use funding from local ward councillors.
