Net Zero Exchange – University of Plymouth

Following on from Low Carbon Devon, the University of Plymouth has established an online platform, the Net-Zero Exchange Network. This is a space to connect and collaborate with others (including researchers) across the Great Southwest to discuss net zero challenges and opportunities in our region, and both offer and find support on cross-cutting net-zero carbon issues.

Our local Chamber offers useful resources, insights, information, tools and support in its net zero hub to help businesses contribute to the UK’s net zero target of 2050.

Environmental support and resources have been put together via the Plymouth Charter to support organisations through the process of taking climate action. The site also signposts several other useful resources.

The SME Climate Hub

Recognising that climate change poses a threat to the economy, nature and society at large, the SME climate hub offers a clear pathway to taking action. Support includes:

• A free carbon calculator to measure your carbon footprint
• A free course on small business climate action
• Resources to help you make a plan

Once you have taken these steps, you are asked to make a commitment to reduce your emissions, following the United Nation’s Race to Zero campaign.  This commitment makes you a partner with thousands of businesses and governments globally who have all pledged to reach net zero emissions by 2050.
