Engaging the whole city in the net zero mission
50% of reducing our carbon emissions depends on ordinary people and businesses making low carbon choices according to the UK Climate Change Committee. No single person or organisation can get our city to Net Zero alone.
While some can have more impact (they may be a larger organisation, a community group or a high profile influencer), we all have a role to play in tackling climate change.
To Do Our Bit,
We Need To
- Understand what we’re trying to achieve and why
- Know what steps we need to take and encourage others
- Share our know-how and experiences
Climate Connections is just the starting point for engaging the whole city
This website aims to bring together all of the net zero activity and resources in the city into one place—from projects on the ground to community action and resources and support for organisations. Lots of engagement activities are happening around the city. But there is much more to be done to reach everyone.
This section will be updated and expanded as soon as more information is available. In the meantime, if you have ideas for engaging the city in the net zero mission, please get in touch and share your ideas.
